God In The New Journey Series: Being Brave Enough to Step Out

God In The New Journey Series, all month long with special guests!
It’s hard to believe but March has arrived and with it chances to be brave and start new journeys.

Or maybe you get to look back at a journey you’re in the middle of.

Or a journey you can hardly believe you’ve completed.

Are you sensing a theme?

Not that long ago, God was busy orchestrating something completely out of my comfort zone. And I had ample opportunity to chose to turn and run… or to be brave, take a step into the unknown, and invite Him into the middle of it.

Oh the things He revealed, and started, and confirmed, and corrected!

So all that thinking back on it and how it might be shaping even my ‘now’ inspired me to do a whole month-long series on that very theme here on the blog.

And to invite some of my words-friends along to share their personal journey-stories too.

All month! Can you even?

I’m beyond excited to share that we have eight ladies who are going to share from their hearts and those super real spaces of their lives every Tuesday and Thursday here on the P&LP! Will you mark your calendars so you don’t miss everyone’s individual take on this theme of God in the journey and taking brave steps into His will?

And best of all, I pray and am trusting that we will all hear from the One Who Is Always Faithful each week this month as well.

You know, as I think about important journeys and life lessons, the journey Moses went on with God and an entire nation comes to mind.

It will always thrill me to read the account of I Am meeting with Moses on holy ground. Unveiled except through a burning bush, showcasing His glory in a way that would not overwhelm but contain His majesty. Fully able. Holy. Powerful. Engaged.

Proving He would remain, delivering the whole nation from Egypt, guiding them in miraculous provision, over and over.

And over. I doubt you’d doubt He was with you as the Red Sea stood at attention.

But there He was, practically face to face, letting Moses know the journey was only beginning. And that it was clear that He wasn’t going anywhere.

But that I Am would be in their midst.

The Great I Am.

And this is no wizard behind the curtain with His gadgets.

The curtain was ripped in two at the work of the cross.

And what it revealed was I Am is exactly as the Word says He is.

For us.

The same yesterday, today, and forever.

And ready to continue with us on the journey. I love the promise of this verse out of Psalm 139:4-6

“…Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all. You go before and behind me, and laid Your hand upon me.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me.…”

Get ready and come with us this month as some special guests share about “God in the new Journey” and the brave steps that they took alongside the One who saves. Our first series post will be Tuesday March 7th!

  1. I will look forward each week to this blog, this theme. I am in the process of beginning a huge, life-changing, game-changing move from one end of the country to the other, leaving behind all I’ve known and loved for most of my life to join my husband in a new place. New job (what, I have no idea, but HE does), new home, new church, new friends–new everything! I believe I will claim Psalm 139:4-6 through this journey. So appropriate, I believe! Thank you!
